Join us for Rockin' Derby Eve, our annual Derby Eve benefit and Madison County's longest-running Derby Eve party. Presented by Hospice Care Plus, all proceeds support care for patients and families across Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties.

This "adults only" event will take place on Friday, May 2, at Richardson Hall (Fair Barn) at the Madison County Fairgrounds. Individual reservations are available for $100! Bringing a group? Reserve a table of 8 for $800, which ensures that you and your group can be seated together! Reservations are open through Friday, April 25.

Your reservation will include:

Hors d’oeuvres
Open bar featuring the signature cocktail, the "Kentucky Oaks Lily" as well as assorted wine, and beer; along with a $5 cash bar featuring mixed drinks, bourbon and whiskey**
A 4-course meal
Live concert featuring local band, Grouper Soup.
Dancing
Live and silent auctions
Photo booth, games, raffles, favors and more
Professional photographers will be on hand to take arrival photos of all guests, and they will be available for you to share on social media after the event.
What to wear? Guests are encouraged to dress in their Derby best or in their favorite concert-going attire for a night of rock-and-roll fun! We'll also be hosting a "Derby Hat Contest" for those who really want to get into the spirit of Derby! Prizes for the top 3 winners will be awarded at the event.

Directions to Richardson Hall (Fair Barn)

Follow these directions when traveling south from Lexington on I 75 :

Take Exit 90 B. Travel down the Robert R. Martin by-pass (Old Hwy 25) until you reach the Hwy 52 E intersection (Mann's dealership will be on your left). Turn left and travel 52 East approximately 6 miles. Turn left onto Old KY Loop 52 and travel about 1/5 mile. The fair grounds will be on your left.

The band consists of Berea, KY native Kelvin Damrell (vocals, guitar) formerly of the Grammy Award-winning band “The Steel Drivers”. Tony Toy (vocals, guitar) and Dan Barton (keyboard) from “The Tony Toy Trio”. Nick Lester (lead guitar), Jay Azbill (bass guitar), and Austin Mills (drums) formerly of Rock of Ages.
